Tonight we took you down to Beach 69 and you had your very first dip in the ocean! You are exactly 10 weeks old today too. I'm sorry it took 10 whole weeks to dip your little toes in the ocean, but life has been very busy! It was so much fun. One of my favorite memories. You seemed to love the ocean. It was your first time sporting your super cool sunglasses too. It was going to be a test whether or not you disliked the ocean or wearing glasses, but you seemed to tolerate both tonight. We had a picnic dinner of teri burgers. There will be a million more visits down to the ocean. It's pretty much the only thing to do here in Hawaii so we may as well take advantage huh?!

2 months old and week 9!
I can't wait till you take your first ride in Daddy's red "rooster" VW truck!
Formal lunch. Cousin Vanessa finds you the cutest things thrift shopping!
Where did 2 months go??
Who says men can't multitask? Daddy made me dinner while also feeding you yours. He placed the tea pot in between you guys to keep the fried chicken from splattering on you, turned your face AWAY from the stove, AND put a hat on your head. He was thinking!
You ARE a hunk!
Your first smile caught on camera at 8 weeks and 1 day.
We took you to your first public concert this week. AND you slept through the night one night this week. You are much more engaging and alert. You now like to read books, can sit upright in your bumbo seat, have fun on your activity mats, and still LOVE the crib mobile. You giggle and smile and coo and practice other sounds. You have moments where you love to cuddle and moments where you like to look at your toys by yourself. I am soooo in love you Monkey!!

Weeks 7 and 8
You are so gorgeous!!
Took you to your first public concert to watch the Prince Dance company. You did great! You only cried once when the audience clapped. Mama bolted out the doors to calm you, and you promptly fell back to sleep. You woke up towards the end and loved watching the last 2 acts!
Ready to ride diggers with daddy. I figured with all our shop days, you will need to protect your little ear drums!
I took this photo the Saturday you turned 7 weeks. You weren't happy about it. But you sure looked cute!
Your first smile caught on camera at 8 weeks and 1 day. You smile so brightly when you see your crib mobile, but I've got a few great smiles from you when you recognize your mama!

Week 6
Hey! I'm pretty proud that I can keep up with your blog! I can't believe you are 6 weeks old this week! I took you to the beach for the first time and we hung out with 3 other babies from my baby class. It was fun to sit around and talk to other moms. You are so much more alert. I'm still dying for your first real true social smile. I've caught glimmers of smiles from you. And you smile at your crib mobile. You love that thing! I bought a book called The Wonder weeks and it goes through particularly fussy weeks. We are in one right now. (week 5-8). You are doing a great job considering how fussy this period can be. A true life saver for soothing you has been the exercise yoga ball. You could bounce on that thing and look out the window for hours. I will get in shape this way! Right now you are bouncing on the ball with your new babysitter Carly. She started today to get used to you and also so that I could show her some of my "tricks". I start teaching next week just for a few hours a day. I'm so lucky that I get to work from home. It will making working so much easier for me. You are addicting and I just don't want to put you down!
Here are some pictures from week 6!
You look like such a big boy in these overalls. I'm having fun playing dress up!
Milk drunk
You are the spitting image of your daddy in this beach chair photo
First time at the beach. Those mitts are on your hands because you HATE the car and tend to try to claw your eyes out when I'm driving. You've given yourself deep scratches and cuts in the car, so these mitts protect your gorgeous fussy face!

Week 5
We are venturing out into the town a bit more, giving me much more confidence and a sense of normality. This week we took our first trip to the grocery store. One way to certainly spend less is to fill the cart with a baby seat! Our strollers finally showed up and we've been going for walks. The dogs love this and the vibrations soothe you. It's making you much more used to your carseat, which you hated with all your might up until this point. I will no longer be eating cabbage while I'm breastfeeding. It made you SOOO upset with gas pain. We missed our baby class get together now that all the women in our class had their babies. I was sad to miss it, but I didn't want you to be miserable. Today you were so sweet all day. Content in your swing, taking a nice nap together. You just love looking at trees. We went for a family walk tonight which I just love. I can't wait for you to sleep 4-5 hours straight at night. Mama is tired, but I'm getting used to sleep deprivation. You are so incredibly gorgeous. I swear you are the most beautiful baby I have ever laid eyes on. You take my breath away!

One month old!
How can you be one month old already?? A month has flown by so fast. Sometimes I cry because you are getting so much bigger and I can't go back in time to the very first day you were born. I want to cherish each and every millisecond. I found these cute alligator tie stickers for each month. It will be fun to do a monthly photo shoot in the leather chair with the boppy to see how much you grow!

Weeks 3-4
Green on Green
Saying a little prayer in your bassinet
Our Ali-gator
Exactly where I want to be at 33 (my birthday!)
Hawaiian blessing
Our first outing out: Lava Lava for my b-day dinner
With Tutu at the restaurant
Alistair Charles with Grandpa Cha Cha
Family photo on the front porch
You turned 4 weeks on Saturday. This week you have been much more observant. You love looking around. You make eye contact with us. You love to look at contrasting colors (our dark wood window sills against light colored walls). You love looking at trees outside. I'll admit, some days are super easy, some days are super difficult. Today was the easiest day of all. I took a 2 hour nap with you. You make us laugh. You have this funny nursing rooting snorting thing you do. We put you down to bed the other night and I turned to Alex and imitated this funny thing you do and it made him laugh. You also throw your arm up in the air, make a fist, and "fire one off" with a grunt. That puts us in stitches! You are one funny guy! Your grandparents left for Seattle yesterday. Grandma Kiss was soooooo sad. Luckily we will see them in just 6 weeks. April flew by, so I know it will be no time before we see them again. I met your future babysitter Carly yesterday and she is so nice. She also went to college in Washington. She looks like she will be a super fun babysitter.
